Inspired by the work of American sculptor Lynda Benglis, Anderson explores the dialogue between material and form, translating the artist’s approach to sculpture into the language of couture. Just as Benglis transforms two dimensional surfaces into dynamic three dimensional expressions through manipulation, folding, and moulding, Anderson reshapes fabric through draping, pleating, and construction.
The iconic Dior Bar jacket is reimagined with sculptural collars, architectural volumes, and unexpected silhouettes, while skirts and trousers gain movement through precise gathering and fluid construction. The collection reveals couture as a living art form, where fabric becomes architecture and craftsmanship becomes emotion.
The Dior ateliers bring the tactile spirit of Benglis’s work to life through metallic surfaces, iridescent effects, intricate embroidery, and textures inspired by both organic and industrial materials. Delicate silver netting recalls the structure of industrial mesh, transformed by the hands of artisans into an object of refinement and beauty.
Benglis’s celebrated Peacock series serves as a source of inspiration for vibrant floral details, intricate embroidery, and rich embellishment, reflecting the artist’s exploration of colour, movement, and organic form. Alongside this artistic dialogue, Anderson’s fascination with textile heritage introduces antique inspired patterns and traditional craftsmanship, reinterpreted through a contemporary couture vision.
From shimmering leathers and mother of pearl details to sculptural bows and handcrafted accessories, every element contributes to a universe where fashion becomes a collectible work of art. The Petit Dîner and mini Lady Dior bags continue this exploration, transforming historic references and precious materials into modern expressions of elegance.
