Cindy Chao: Where Sculpture Becomes High Jewellery

Celebrated for redefining the boundaries between art, sculpture, and high jewellery, Cindy Chao continues to forge new creative dialogues through her visionary brand, CINDY CHAO The Art Jewel. This year, the Maison marked two milestones: its debut at Taipei Dangdai and the fifth anniversary of its Shanghai Maison.

At Taipei Dangdai, Chao stood as the sole representative of art jewellery, captivating audiences with a single masterwork: her ethereal Dragonfly Brooch. Suspended in a custom levitating display, the piece appeared to float midair, its wings shimmering with diamonds and sapphires—a striking embodiment of craftsmanship and contemporary artistry.

In Shanghai, Chao transformed her exclusive Bund showroom into a Sculptural Garden to celebrate five years of architectural elegance. In collaboration with international artists, she curated a dialogue between art and nature, reaffirming the Maison’s multidisciplinary spirit.

Trained by her architect grandfather and sculptor father, Chao fuses Eastern sensibility with Western technique. Her creations—often museum-calibre—reflect her belief that jewellery can transcend adornment to become timeless art.
